Overview

Through STEM-focused and real-world experiences, PPHS empowers students to create the world they envision by developing the minds of creative problem-solvers and skilled achievers. PPHS aspires to create a world of equity where every student has the opportunity and access to achieve their goals and realizes their power to solve any problem they encounter.

Purdue Polytechnic High School is a free public charter high school that encourages learning outside the box – and the traditional classroom – through the lens of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Here, students take learning into their own hands, earning a well-rounded education, and mastering the skills needed to succeed in college and a technology-rich world.

At Purdue Polytechnic High School, our students are immersed in STEM, learning all core academic concepts within the context of STEM-focused instruction. PPHS fosters our student’s natural curiosity about solving real-world problems, igniting their imagination and enhancing their learning experience. Students are mentored by world-class teachers who are passionate about student success, personalizing instruction to match each student’s needs and learning style. Students at PPHS participate in a series of projects in partnership with the largest and most innovative employers in the area. Our students take tours of our partner sites, learn about their industry and are posed a challenge question that they take back to PPHS with them. These challenge questions are the building blocks for what we do at PPHS. Students work in groups to create solutions, build prototypes and pitch their ideas.

When PPHS students graduate, they will have the skills and knowledge for college or a career, getting a jump start on a bright future. Successful PPHS students are eligible to earn a direct admittance to Purdue University Polytechnic Institute.
