Overview
The historic Louis B. Russell, Jr. Elementary School is an IPS neighborhood school serving students in grades pre-K-6. Our curriculum is student-centered and researched-based. Peer mentoring and cooperative groups highlight our classrooms where a wide variety of teaching strategies and learning methods are used. This enriched learning environment is designed to prepare our students to fully comprehend and function productively in our highly sophisticated and technical society. Louis B. Russell Jr. Elementary School #48 offers before- and after-school programming, focusing on tutoring and enrichment.
