Paramount Cottage Home

Paramount Cottage Home is one of Paramount Schools of Excellence three campuses, along with its virtual learning program.The schools exist to educate K-8 students in an innovative environment that instills high expectations for success. Paramount serves 1,250students, of which 88% are from households at or below the poverty level.

Fundamental to Paramount is that a family’s income or ZIP code should not determine the quality of education available to a child. Paramount accomplishes its mission and teaches the mastery of Indiana Academic Standards by emphasizing rigorous academics, project-based learning, technology, the arts, and environmental science. The goal of Paramount Schools of Excellence is to assure that each student:
•becomes an engaged, motivated, and capable learner, maximizing his/her potential.
• acquires essential skills, utilized in conjunction with life experiences, to effectively compete in an increasingly global society.
• develops habits that build character and result in better life choices.
• has a support team of parents, caregivers, mentors, teachers, and community

Paramount’s framework is making an impact on its students. Paramount Brookside is designated a 2018 Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education and an “”A”” school by the Indiana Department of Education for the seventh consecutive year. Paramount Cottage Home was the top-performing public school within the IPS boundaries for the 2018 ILEARN test. These achievements represent Paramount’s consistent academic gains over the past nine years and students, teachers, and families’ hard work.
