Overview

Our mission is to provide all children with an education that affords them limitless opportunity, the power of choice, and the option of success both to and through college. We are proud to offer a welcoming, safe, nurturing, supportive, and equitable environment for our diverse student population, with experiences and programming that build character traits linked to effectiveness and happiness. GWHS partners closely with families and the community to be a positive force and resource on the west side of Indianapolis. The Information Technology academy allows students in grades 9-12 to explore careers related to the design, development and support and management of software, hardware, multimedia, and systems integration services. Students can choose from three tracks: software development, informatics, and IT support, and have the opportunity to earn Advanced Placement (AP) credit or industry certifications.
