The Student Support Coordinator will work as a colleague with the administration to support student learning. This person will ensure that all services are being delivered and provide support for teachers and students This position will support the MTSS process for both behaviors and academics and will support communication with families to understand these processes. The position will support families and students to ensure appropriate support is provided.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree, Certified Educator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include duties and/or responsibilities and why job exist)

  • In conjunction with building administrators, facilitate meetings at the school
  • Provide instructional guidance and team leadership within the school setting
  • Initiate, prepare, and facilitate various forms of staff development activities to address personnel readiness and skill development
  • Assist teachers in examining teaching practices to effectively meet the needs of all students and assist with classroom/MTSS interventions prior to a referral to special education
  • Support and supervise teachers
  • Support classroom teachers with the implementation of supplemental aids and services
  • Facilitate School-Based Student Support Team meetings
  • Sit on other committees that the Principal deems necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
