WHAT WE ARE SEEKING
The best candidates for this position will embody the values and beliefs at the heart of the VCP mission and vision.
They will also meet the following qualifications and possess these preferred skills:
Bachelor’s degree
Full fluency in Spanish
Valid Teacher License (or interest in a licensure program)
Competency in using technology in the classroom setting
Ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
Strong desire to work within an innovative, urban educational program
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL ACCOMPLISH
Support classroom teachers by conducting small group instruction for English language learners
Perform intervention instruction as assigned;
Ensure students are engaged through activities and technology that accommodate various learning styles and personality styles
Provide many and varied opportunities for students to achieve mastery while working to promote achievement by all students without exception;
Support classroom teachers’ interactions with English language learners’ parents, guardians, and families
Provide translations for written communications, including emails and printed forms
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
