The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:
∙ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
∙ Valid IN Teaching License
∙ Special Education License
∙ Develop measurable goals, benchmarks, and objectives to meet the child’s needs
∙ Adjust goals of individual students based on data and progress through a Case Conference ∙ Regularly monitor the implementation of the student’s IEP
∙ Update goals, behavior plans, and present levels in IEP
∙ Provide progress reports to the students’ parents with each quarterly report card
∙ Ensure the IEP is accessible to all pertinent staff
∙ Collaborate with each teacher and provider of his or her specific responsibilities related to implementing the student’s IEP
∙ Support and contribute to the initial evaluation or re-evaluation process by:
∙ Collecting assessment data (BAS level, math diagnostics, etc.)
∙ Meeting with the classroom teacher to collect academic and behavioral data
∙ Attending and facilitating the Case Conference
∙ Complete the child’s IEP by providing goals and behavior plans as needed
∙ Active in the school’s Multi-Tiered Systems of Support to ensure all scholars grow academically, behaviorally, and social-emotionally
∙ Participate in Vision’s instructionally focused accountability system, being formally evaluated several times each year
∙ Collaborate and plan with staff to push in, pull out, or co-teach to ensure both academic and behavioral needs are met
∙ Attend and participate in coaching meetings
