POSITIONS ARE IN Tindley Accelerated Schools – Indianapolis, IN

Tindley Accelerated Schools is an open-enrollment charter school with a network of three (3) schools, serving grades K-12. There is one track at Tindley: College or Die. Our scholars traditionally work one grade level ahead so that they are ready to take all authentic college courses beginning their junior year. Since opening our doors in 2004, 100% of Tindley graduates have been accepted to a select college or university.

History:

Tindley Accelerated Schools launched in 2002 as the Charter for Accelerated Learning, Inc. In 2004, we launched Charles A. Tindley Accelerated School in one of Indianapolis’ most impoverished neighborhoods. In six short years, the Tindley School established itself as a model for urban schooling in Indiana, winning the National Blue Ribbon Schools Award in 2010.

Now, Tindley Accelerated Schools is focused on giving students throughout urban Indianapolis access to opportunities for strong educations. That’s why in 2010 the Charter for Accelerated Learning became Tindley Accelerated Schools, dedicated to expanding quality college-preparatory educational services for young people and helping Indianapolis schools excel – so their students can do likewise.

In 2010, Tindley Accelerated Schools was the recipient of the National Blue Ribbon School award given by the United States Department of Education. We have also been twice presented with a Four Star School status by the Indiana Department of Education which places Tindley in the top 25% of public schools in Indiana.

Experience preferred. Must be licensed.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the enrollment process including admissions, enrollment services and community relations.
  • Create strategic plan for enrollment and retention activities.
  • Manage phone calls, visits and paperwork associated with the enrollment application process.
  • Lead communication on Social Media platforms regarding enrollment initiatives.
  • Manage City-Wide (Enroll Indy) enrollment process.
  • Actively participate in community events to create sustain partnerships.
  • Distributes marketing materials throughout the communities we serve.
  • Creates and drives implementation and roll out of enrollment initiatives
  • Develop and maintain community partnerships and programming
  • Excellent computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills and Experience:

Skills Student and Family Communication

  • Provide superior customer service and support to current and prospective families
  • Respond to inquiry calls and requests for information using a variety of communication which include phone, email, and text
  • Make outgoing phone calls to contact interested students/parents on a daily basis. Outbound calls are a key task of this role.
  • Schedule appointments for prospective families to tour the school(s)
  • Provide prospective and newly enrolled families with accurate and up-to-date information regarding registration requirements, school programs, and enrollment information
  • Document all interactions with students in the appropriate CRM systemTeam Leadership and Communication
  • Assist with re-enrollment training and processes for school enrollment teams.
  • Represent Tindley as the initial point of contact for enrollment and registration activities.
  • Maintain engaging and active communication with building leaders regarding enrollment and retention activities. Community and Organizational Partnerships
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with early childhood educational institutions.
  • Provide school support during enrollment events and registration
  • Understand and apply state rules and regulations to all activities; remain aware of and updated on rules and regulations that affect job duties.
  • Identify local community members, organizations, and businesses where meaningful partnerships with the school(s) can be established. Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years’ experience in admissions or enrollment management, or other related experience.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a remote environment.
  • Excellent relationship building, communication and phone presentation skills.
  • Superior problem-solving, time management and organizational skills
  • Solutions oriented with strong follow-up ability.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic in a diverse educational community setting.
  • Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities
  • Strong proficiency in using multiple software programs simultaneously including MS Office programs, contact management database systems, Gmail, etc.
  • Must pass federal, state, and local background checks, as required by state.
