Are you a licensed Teacher? Do you think you have what it takes to help improve the lives of kids facing life’s greatest developmental and behavioral challenges? Damar Services is currently seeking a talented, motivated and detail oriented Teacher to be responsible for performing a variety of skilled tasks related to education of students at Damar Charter Academy with specific functions such as, setting the tone of instruction for the class, developing and participating in activities that promote the development of skills identified in Individual Education Plans (IEPs) including academics, behavioral stability, communication skills, social functioning skills, independence (self help and daily living) skills, and vocational skills. The Teacher will also be responsible for completing state assessments such as ISTAR or ISTEP, and other specific assessments (WIAT-II, ABAS-II, CBC, WRAT, CBMs, FBAs).

Essential Job Functions:
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
