  • Check your email consistently for Teach Indy updates
  • Submit your resume and/or Nimble Link via the Registration Link above
  • Review the list of schools who will be in attendance. Click on their link below to be directed to their Teach Indy page and their direct Job Postings
  • Make a list of the schools in attendance who you are a) interested in learning more about and b) align to your licensure area. Note: We will be updating the list of registered schools below. Please plan to check this page early and often.
  • Consider applying for jobs that are interesting to you BEFORE the event. If they reach out to connect with you, let them know you will be in attendance at the Teach Indy Hiring Fair
  • Review this video about our online platform, REMO
  • Looking for Resume Support? Interview Best Practices? Attend one of our Hiring Event Workshops
During the Event

Just before 10a on Sat. April 8, you will receive a final email inviting you to the event. Login to the REMO platform and customize your contact information by uploading your LinkedIn information and any other information you’d like to share.

When you initially login, you will be randomly assigned to a table which you can see by locating your name/avatar photo on the floor plan. Feel free to mingle with the people that join you at your table. The program will begin just after 10a.

During Interviewing, you will NOT have a set schedule. This is why it’s important to know in advance which schools you are interested in visiting. To visit:

  • Click on a chair that is empty of the school you’d like to talk to
  • You will hear a ‘knocking’ sound and will enter the space to have a conversation
  • School may send you to a 1:1 table to interview. These tables can be found around the perimeter of the floor and will have the schools name on them

While at a table, feel free to post the link to your resume in the Table Chat for the leaders to follow up with you after the event.

The school I want to visit doesn’t have a seat at their table, what do I do? Feel free to visit another school table OR visit one of the Centering Stations around the outside of the room. These are single seats so you have a moment to review your notes and join a new table when you are ready.

After the Event

You will receive an email with the contact email addresses of all the hiring managers who attended the event. These schools will also receive a copy of your resume to follow up with you directly.

For allow us to host future hiring events, please keep track of the number of job offers and/or final jobs accepted to share with our team. We will follow up later in the spring/early next school year to confirm your placement.

Finally, your feedback is valuable to us. You will receive a post-event survey; please take 10-15 minutes to complete this survey and you will be entered to win one of three (3) gift cards for your feedback.

Best Practices for Virtual Interview

Location and Logistics

  • Be sure you have a reliable internet connection and access to your web cam
  • If possible, select a location that is quiet or consider wearing headphones
  • Select a background that is free of distractions or consider using a downloadable backdrop
  • Have your resume link copied and easy to ‘paste’ for schools to review

Content

  • Practice answering questions that explain WHY you’re interested in teaching and whenever possible, connect this to the school you are speaking to
  • Be prepared to show how your past experience can be applied to you in the classroom
  • Expect to spend only 8-12 min. with a particular school/leader. Think of this as your first interaction
  • ALWAYS have a question ready to ask the school
  • Write down questions that you either had a challenge answering OR weren’t sure what they were saying to practice for future interviews
What do I do if I need support during the event?

The top left table is where you will see a Teach Indy Help table. At anytime, if you need assistance, you can join that table and either Mark or Sara will be able to assist you.
